Not sure if want?

Hey Guys, first time posting... I'm a student at a HYP. Had some experience in S&T and on the buy side as well. I was wondering if you guys had sort of an "ah ha!" moment in your trading career where things kind of caught on and you really started to get interested, or if it was more of a gradual thing were you learned more, liked it more, learned more and on. I'm just trying to gauge my own interest and I'm having a hard time evaluating.

Would you date a girl that was errr ok?

Personally no, but if mega drought then maybe.

Sorry for the crude comparison but i get really depressed when people dont do what they love doing. I see the apathy of going after something that other people think everyone else wants like a frictional force in the way of destiny (read fitting into the puzzle thats shaped the way you are - not some starsign mumbo jumbo).

Keep it as a back up while you find something that sparks you imo, but that said, in college? you cant know what its like so have no real basis to form an opinion of it yet.

If you don't know if you truly like finance look at the options around you. From there analyse your relative interest until a better option presents itself.

To hop on the analogy from above: date the 'meh' girl 'til the 'wow' girl rocks up and is interested in you.

At worst you'll have some solid experience in a competitive industry and probably make some good money.
