Notifying JPM of an upcoming Superday with GS. Will this help??
I applied online and received a first round, 2 on 1, 20 minute phone interview with JPMorgan. Needless to say, I was definitely surprised my resume was looked at, let alone receiving an actual interview from an online application.
So the interview apparently went well and I received an email today saying that I was one of the candidates selected for possible second round interviews to be conducted by the individual teams. My resume and interviewer feedback has been sent along to managers that have available positions. Those teams will be making decisions on who receives second round interviews.
The email said be prepared to receive a phone call from someone at JPMorgan sometime the next week. Also, the email stated to keep them updated on any approaching deadlines or pertinent information.
Well, I let them know I have a Superday coming up at GS tomorrow, but I am still interested in the opportunity. Would this be of any help in getting me that second round interview?
Why does JPMorgan insist on doing this random phone call bullshit everytime? Honestly, can't they just set up a god damn interview time with candidates instead of calling when you least expect it and might not be prepared to speak to them at that time.
For all of you that said I did very poorly at my GS interview, well the interviewer called my first thing Tuesday morning to let me know I was invited to the Superday. I was likely the first person to receive the call back.
I hate this calling at random policy of JPMorgan.
I got the same e-mail from JPM, and congrats on the Goldman superday!
I'd only e-mail them if I had a firm offer. I think they're just wondering whether or not they need to rush you through the process. I'd wait until after your superday and if you're successful in getting an offer from Goldman, let them know.
