NYC Hedge Fund Director Leads Drinking Team to World Record

People had many different ways of spending labor day weekend. Some fired up the grill, some went to work on pitchbooks, and some set new world records in drinking.

Chris Solarz, a 33 year old director at Cliffwater, lead the team of drinkers to 200 bars in Manhattan during a ten hour time span, beating the previous world record that was set by a group in Chicago that vistied 170 bars.

200 bars, now that's quite the pub crawl. We can only hope that he and his team, the "Thirsty Thirteen" had enough time to down a cold one at each. Breaking world records is nothing new for Solarz, since he set a record in 2009 when he traveled the entire NYC subway system in less than 24 hours. On top of that, he was able to provide us with the quote of the day.

"Some people have real problems. I'm worried about getting to the next bar on time."

this is hilarious - i wonder how many type-a hf directors/equiv are in the g-book of world records just for the sake of getting in the g-book of world records / satisfying their ego/hunger to outdo someone else
