NYC is turning into a violent cesspool

An article on the NY Post this weekend shows that violent crimes, graffitti, panhandling, and vandalism, are all drastically up in NYC this year. The quality of life has declined considerably, and with the recession, things will only get worse. My advice to NYC people: MOVE OUT before you get mugged, raped, or shot!

lmao @ "if NYC destroyed housing projects on Manhattan"... as if you're just going to wipe off an entire sect of people JUST because they were unfortunately born into a much lower socio-economic environment then you...And plus...if you mind your own biz/don't fuck with people you're not suppose to... it's not like you're gonna get shot at...I mean you cant be that naive right?

mack387,

i'm the one who's naive? people who get mugged and raped are innocent victims of violent thugs. i really hope you're being sarcastic because your mindset is typical of liberals who blame the victims and try to make things better by throwing more money at government programs. let me guess. you're an obama supporter, right?

FYI, Chicago destroyed its housing projects, including cabrini green, which explains why Chicago is more safe and gentrified than NYC.

elan,

you're right that graffiti and vandalism are not violent crimes per se. but the people who committ those crimes, if not stopped, are the ones who go on to violent crimes. NYC residents and politicians are scared because they see the city going back to the dark years of the 1970's and 1980's. And with the recession only getting worse, the city will be forced to cut the budget for the police department, which will lead to even more crime. The fact that you guys don't get this argument is pretty amusing and sad.

Your mom is a violent cesspool.

Looks like someone came to NY for a whole slew of interviews and ended up getting dinged across the board.

Dont worry, Standard Charter Charlotte is regarded very highly in certain circles.... great exit ops, I heard about a guy who did a 4yr stint at SC and now he's customer service rep at ScottTrade.

Big things.
