NYU School of Professional Studies - Thoughts?

I recently came across NYUs School of Professional Studies website and noticed there are tons of classes offered by NYUs Finance Department. These are all noncredit courses and most of them count towards a certificate, such as a Certificate in Credit Analysis or Certificate in Financial Analysis.

The courses take approximately 20-25 hours to complete and are taught by adjunct professors who seem to have a good background.

Here is, for instance, the list of courses required for the Certificate of Financial Analysis:

Fundamentals of corporate finance
Financial Statement Analysis
Techniques of Financing Corporations
Financial Analysis in Visual Basic (VBA)
Intermediate corporate finance
Advanced corporate finance
Valuing a Business: U.S. and Overseas
Financial Modeling in Corporate Financial Analysis Using Excel

Given that I can obtain firm sponsorship to take these classes, is it beneficial to spend time attending these classes and potentially obtain a certificate? I am not necessarily looking to boost my resume, but to gain a better understanding of core principles related to financial analysis.
