NYU Stern Business and Political Economy (BPE)
I know this topic has been discussed before on this forum, but now that a few years have gone by, I was wondering what people on the street think of this relatively new program at NYU Stern:

It's really competitive to get into, and it seems like an awesome experience, I was just wondering if the terms abroad (all of Sophomore year in London, Junior fall in Shanghai) will hinder your recruiting.
Basically deciding at this point between Umich Ross and NYU Stern (hopefully BPE), basically because just as everyone else, I have a very low chance of getting into Wharton...
P.S Would you pick Ross/basic Stern over BPE?

Thank you for any input!
Seems like an awesome program, similar to penn's huntsman program in international studies and business. Yeah i would definitely take this over michigan ross or regular stern.
Nope.
If you want to apply to Stern, apply and attend the regular program. Many of the BPE kids drop the concentration in favor of the standard curriculum before freshman year ends. It doesn't help in recruiting, and you take weirder classes. It is not similar to the Huntsman program.
A couple of my friends participated in this program. The program is great and doesn't hinder recruiting for Junior year. While they obviously all had a great time living in different parts of the world, they did miss out on significant opportunities and experiences only provided in NYC.
