NYU Stern MBA to IB

I'm determined to make a career switch to IB. My question is: even with NYU Stern MBA, what is realistic chance of getting into IB?

Looking at the NYU Stern MBA employment report, 21% of the 2018 Class graduates end up working in IB function. I understand not everyone is going for IB. So any idea of the % of NYU stern MBA students who intend to get into IB actually end up in IB?

Also, I heard that you are better off securing a pre-MBA internship in IB to increase the competitive advantage when the recruiting season starts. This seems like a really hard thing to pull off. Is a pre-MBA internship that important?

Thanks
