Attempting to pickup some O&G coverage at the office. We utilize a sell-side constructed model and I'm trying to reconcile the reserves information from the model with actual data provided by the company. I've been able to tie the PDP numbers, but I can't find where I should be looking for the PUD, 2P, and 3P numbers. Any help?
did they provide a reserve report/ breakdown by field
That's what I'm trying to find. Is there a universal filing document somewhere on some database that they would file on?
Check filings and presentations if in the US
Checked filings and they only provide proved reserves. Reached out to IR but haven't gotten a response yet.
SEC rules allow disclosure of 2P and 3P reserves, but do not require it. Do they say somewhere in their annual report if they choose to disclose this? At minimum they should be disclosing Proved Developed and Proved Undeveloped by geographic area and by product.
They have the Proved Developed and Undeveloped broken out by product, but alas my PM wants more data and I just don't know where to get it.
Depending on the company, it could be in a random press release or investor pres or its more of an educated guess than anything else.
I’d be wary using research models as they almost always have busts.
