one of the few new FT hires...
i interned at a bb last summer but opted to sign with a boutique for FT. i found out new hires who didn't intern last summer make up only 10% of the entire analyst class.
group placement will occur after a general program - i'm worried that i won't get into a good group, or that i won't be able to fit in, etc., because i'm one of just a few people who don't know what they're getting into in terms of culture and connections. is this a real concern or am i being crazy? advice greatly appreciated.
why did you switch?
It's not like you have much control over it anymore, so I wouldn't worry about it. Likely, you'll get placed in a group where they didn't have 100% retention, but obviously we on this forum most likely won''t have any knowledge as to which groups that would be.
thanks - any tips on how to go about "catching up"? i guess i could talk to the alums from my school who recruited me, but i don't really know anyone in the incoming analyst class.
