One-page report for Equity Research Internship a UBS? (Weird?)
I'm a brazilian Finance Student and I have just applied for an internship at UBS Equity Research Division. In their email response to my CV, they have asked me, along some other things, to "Find Cielo (A brazilian company) Quaterly Results and develop an analysis up to one page".
I'm not sure whether I should only discuss numbers on the company's quarterly results report or if I should do any kind of projection for the future. Also, I'm not sure on how I should format and write this report as it has a maximum number of one page.
Any tips or comments?
You should focus on the quarterly results, dont worry about forecasting. Read the press release and the transcript, and then: 1. Briefly summarize the results and 2. Write analysis on how you think the company did and what the near-term future looks like. The transcript is what you really want to focus on, and if you can get your hands on a sample earnings note on the company from another bank, that will be helpful.
