Operational Risk Analyst

Wondering if someone a bit more knowledgable of hedgefund infrastructure can offer a little insight on an operational risk role. I've worked in Finance at a BB for a few years and have an interview at a top hedge fund. I'm worried I might be too caught up in the notoriety of the hedge fund, thereby blinding myself from a potential career killer.

As mentioned before the role is labeled as Operational Risk Analyst. I'm hoping to learn a few things:
1.) Although it has operations in the title, would you think this is a back office role?
2.) Do you believe there will be career growth opportunities inside and outside the role? If no, should I stay in finance at the BB
3.) The potential pay bump seems worth it relative to my current job, but am I looking at slave like hours?
4.) Seems like it could be a more strategic role, do you agree?
5.) Anything additional information you may have, please share. No doubt I will inquire about the above in the interview in a discreet way, but would really love to have as much knowledge going in as possible. I've found online information is very difficult to come by for this area.
