Opinion on Stock Broker Trainee Program

Hey guys,

I am currently a sophomore at a semi-target, I began my search for summer 2014 internships recently. So far I was called to interview for a stockbroker trainee program in Manhattan. I do not believe it's a boiler room operation, but I could be wrong. Anyway, I applied through my college's career site and I must've missed that it stated Bachelor Degree Required. My resume does say expected grad May 2016, and when he called I noted that "I did not graduate yet and am still in college" I did not say I was a sophomore in college. He told me that Thats no issue and that the firm is aggressively expanding. Is it unusual for a firm to interview a sophomore for a broker trainee program? What kind of questions should I expect? My knowledge of Finance is very weak, but am an expected level for a sophomore. What am I expected to know?

Thanks, any tips are appreciated.

Don't bother with it. Not worth your time.
