Opinions on cover letter - Consulting 2016
Hi!
I am preparing a round of applications for consulting (my top aspiration being MBB, but also targeting tier-2) and would love to know what you think about this.
I'll leave the letter updated after you post your comments, so that this can be left as an educational reading for the time to come.

You misspelled AT Kearney as AT Kearny at least once in the middle of the second paragraph. That would be an instant ding in my book. I also don't know why you have part of one sentence italicized.
I think in general it is overly wordy, an example is "growth oriented academic path," which is part of a run-on sentence. I would cut down on the fluff and provide a second concrete project example that shows you have developed good analytical and/or interpersonal skills .
Need to be more specific tinge individual from. As is, this is very obviously a cut and paste job
"My conversation with ... central reason for applying". You know that's BS as many other consultancies offer those learning experiences, and even better at MBB. Make it a general point for consulting and put a little effort in your letter by actually finding out what makes ATK stand out at a particular level.
"His description of ... and effective learning". Don't you have any experience with them yourself? A lunch? A dinner? An in-house day? That'd be much stronger. This comes off as a shot in the dark. Anyone can say this for any firm.
'Strong team member and partner for my colleagues. Very wordy. Communicate effectively."
"I gained strong interpersonal skills". Yeah cool, but what are those skills. Give an example.
Italics don't make sense
"I would live and breathe the opportunity". Chill the fuck down.
"I would be availble....". Just say for any further questions they can contact you.
