Opportunity: Houston Developer, Multifamily

I am moving and would like to help my firm fill my position. I am an analyst for a Houston based developer. The firm does 75% office and 25% multifamily/condo development (the position is specifically for the multifamily/condo side of the business). $3B in AUM, significant institutional capital partners, good pay, co-invest, and carry. Please PM me your email and I will email asking for your resume.

more detail on the job:

*Living in Houston or having significant ties to Houston is important. *Finance degree with prior underwriting experience is important.

In a way, there is quite a bit of administration work (submitting draw requests, filling out reports for our LP investors, retrieving financials for lenders and brokers who are listing our assets for sale, finding a vendor for a new website, fixing accounting errors by our third party property managers) but once you get past all that it is as much deal work as you want to do (really, from the firms standpoint you are on the deal team and are expected to be a profit center, if not at the beginning, that is what your skills are leading you to, understanding deals and finding deals).

Congrats to your wife.

Not to hijack your thread, but this brings up a good conversation topic. It must have been a great opportunity in your wife's career for the two of you to move. I am curious as to how you guys came to a consensus on her accepting the position and moving? Was it even an in-depth conversation?

Personally, for me, if my wife had the opportunity to move for career advancement, I would be all over it like a dirty shirt.

haha ... it was less of a career choice and more of a lifestyle choice. We are stepping down/making neutral moves in our career but our lifestyle (moving to a place that matches our hobbies/interests) will go up 353%. We do not have any ties to Houston so we have been trying to figure out where we want to be as we have been here, 2 months back we decided and were just like "lets go". I will be stepping down in terms of opportunity/compensation but I/we feel good with the choice. Who ever gets my spot will be a lucky bastard.
