Optimal Path In College
Hey WSO,
Later this year, I’ll be heading to undergrad. I’ve been accepted early action to a fairly prestigious target school, and am now waiting on the Ivys. I’ve worked smart (and hard) in high school, and hope to continue the trend in College. And although I’m unsure as to what exactly I hope to pursue in the future, a job in PE would be the dream, but BB and HF also sounds great.
Regardless, I’ve been looking forward to a future in finance, and have to ask: If you were to start over again from college, what would you do? What would you focus on during college, and how? What sort of internships would you shoot for each summer? What organizations on campus would you join? Would you potentially found one yourself?
I hope to work smart in college, and all advice would be appreciated. What worked for you? Or what would you do differently? What should I be watching out / targetting during the next four years to rise as a potential candidate for such a highly contested and competitive position?
Thank you for the help in advance—I appreciate all of the input!
