Pandemic Raise also in ER?

First time posting. I’m an incoming first year analyst to ER in London. I’ve been seeing posts of IB analysts getting their base raised. My understanding is that base pay is the same for IB and ER juniors (just the bonus that varies widely)… is there also a pandemic boost in ER pay?

Most raises are only for IBD currently, sometimes even ecm/dcm doesnt get it, and S&T was not given as well. Some are saying that its mainly due to markets division working lesser hours while the ibd groups are really swamped with work at the moment hence the raises to try and retain ppl. Nevertheless, I do feel they would raise it in time to come, as it bases has always been the same for many years prior.

Your post history is literally trashing ER. Name one other "back office" role where 2/3 of the most common exits are FO AM, and Hedge Funds. What back office role has most MD's making between $750k-2M? Which back office role frequently places former ASO's into M7 MBA's (and a decent amount into H/S)

We get it, you couldn't break into Equity Research. But there's no need to trash a function in such a way that misleads prospects and newcomers on this site.

Very disappointed with the radio silence from ER..... apparently in London ER it's also standard not to have base salary increases from AN 1 ---> AN 2 ---> AN 3 as well?

Personally didn't receive a base bump despite good performance (their words), but curious if peeps from other BB's can comment?
