Why would they pull your offer? I get the excitement and nervousness and everything but if this is something that’s truly keeping you up at night then it sounds like you might have some anxiety. You did a good job, you worked your ass off to get this offer I’m sure; so take some time to pat yourself on the back and just take it easy for a while. Keep your grades at least halfway decent, don’t get arrested, and everything will fall into place.
I’m no expert and maybe someone else will chime in, but unless you’re at a really small firm or you do something that causes them to reconsider, I really don’t see that happening. I can’t imagine any BB/EB, or even reputable MM bank or whatever, would reneg on a job offer just to place an executive’s kid in the role. They’d probably just create a spot for them or something if this even really still happens.
I was in your boat recently. Accepted an offer at GSAM and then waited 7 long weeks for the background check to clear. I think most people get nervous about this sort of thing. You’re good though. Don’t worry.

I’ve just heard stories of it happening. Also feels too good to be true.
Executives having their kid fill the position, some reconsideration, etc.

Yeah I guess I’ll just chill. It probably is unlikely anyways out of the millions of offers that are given.

Congrats! Yeah maybe I just have to chill. Just wondering if anyone else dealt with this.
