Passing the CFA as an undergraduate
I am a rising senior in a top French business school. I’m 22 and I have a lot of time on my hands before I graduate. I feel like I haven’t gained enough knowledge in finance in my program, so I thought that passing the level 1 CFA would give me a competitive advantage by the time I graduate. After I graduate I would like to work in PE / AM. I have already had an experience in AM at the BNP.
My school is offering to pay for my CFA. Is it worth it as a driven undergrad with a relatively flexible schedule?
Sure man, and moreover if you want to enter the AM universe. CFA Level 1 might be technical, but nothing more challenging than a top business school finance class.
In my school (Top Spanish Business School) they did the same and most of the ones who took the exam past it, and its an strong thing to add to your CV, even if in the end you want to enter to IB to study again all the concepts will train you great.
Thank you:)
