Paths to a Top Mutual Fund role for Equities
From what I have seen, it seems that the top MBA programs are the main feeders to the top mutual funds like Fidelity and Capital Group. Wanted to see if anyone at these firms could chime in on how hard it is to lateral into these funds if you did a different type of fundamental investing after your MBA (e.g. multi-manager HF, distressed investing, single-manager HF).
For example, if you joined a firm like Point72 after your MBA for a couple years and decided it wasn't for you, is it possible to move to a firm like Fidelity, or have you pretty much missed the boat already?
Hi crazi4ib, the silence is deafening, sorry about that.... Any of the threads below helpful?
Fingers crossed that one of those helps you.
