Pay cut for WLB
Would you take a 40k - 60k pay cut (bonus) for better WLB? Specifically speaking a Corp dev position with PE backing and potential growth but way better WLB.

Depends on COL
This is a highly variable question. For me, I wouldn't, but also I'm an analyst who wants to stay in NY, so a 40-60k pay cut means that I'm making 90-110k a year at best. Whereas if I stayed on as an associate I'd be looking at 300k, maybe more if the 175k new base salary means a higher bonus. Personally, if I could maintain the 300k income I'd 100% exit for a better WLB. But I'm okay grinding it out for a few year to make that happen.
Also I saw the title and for some reason thought WLB was a bad abbreviation for William Blair and thought it was hilarious that they were cutting pay when the rest of the street was raising base salaries. But unfortunately you meant worklife balance.
