PE -> Corp. Dev.

Hi guys.

Do you think it is worth moving into a corp dev. from an local LMM PE(APAC)?

For understanding, the company that I am looking for has more than $3bn cash and eager to spend most of its cash on M&A. On the other hand, LMM PE is a newly formed firm that does not have any blind fund nor the ability to make one soon(Current AUM is $40mn, $100mn expected next year at most). The base salary is expected to be simliar or perhaps corp. dev. could offer better a choice. I think I would have more and bigger deal experiences in corp. dev. Considering its latest M&A deal, I may have chance to participate in acqusitions of U.S. companies.

Any advice would be helpful!
