PE firms with Analyst Positions
Monkeys,
Which PE firms have analyst positions?
I know some MM shops do but I have heard the training is often inadequate. Whereas I have heard
at some MM shops the training and experience is second to none with chances of promotion.
Please let me know, thank you in advance!!!
.
I'm just gonna leave this here...
Deal Team Six: member for 3 months 2 weeks DealTeamSix: member for** 1 year 3 months**
There's only so many cleaver anonymous names. Thanks for taking the time to state I wasn't the first to think of a relatively cheesy username for a financial forum.
none
That's not true. Ther are several. Was hoping to see someone list a few with some additional color though. Most top shops have them and many MM have them. There's just not much on the role or experiences you'd get publically available.
Off the top of my head:
Bain KKR (heard talk of this ending) Blackstone TPG Silverlake Parthenon Capital Partners (SF office was hiring recently) Spectrum Equity Battery
Couldn't tell you much about training because it's highly variable. I've heard everything from a highly structured month of training with in-person Training the Street courses to simply getting staffed on deals with an associate and learning via trial by fire.
Also Audax
Partners group but recruiting was October I believe
Partners Group
Leonard Green and Ares in LA also offer analyst programs
Some of these could be outdated and there are RE PE shops included as well: Abraaj Antares Capital Parthenon Capital Partners Stone Goff partners Auldbrass Partners The Raine Group Northwood Investors RCP Advisors Insight Venture Partners Ares tenex tungsten partners vista equity
Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) takes summer analysts for their infrastructure pe group.
Thanks so much for the color guys!
In a private equity firm, is it possiblie to pinpoint the job description of an Analyst? (Originally Posted: 06/28/2014)
I've got this opportunity to hand in my CV to a Partner who somewhat promised me he can put me as an analyst provided I send a covering letter explaining what exactly I want from the role.
The role of an Analyst is incredibly obscure to me, I know some of the tasks they perform but none of them are concrete knowledge. Can anyone give me some directions on how to go about this? Where to look at or what to look at?
I've also got a lead to join PwC as an Analyst but I don't know what kind of role they are expecting me to perform...? Many thanks!
