pe recruiting process - where are people?

where are people in the recruiting process? i've been getting worked quite a bit so i haven't been very responsive to head hunters, but i also don't want to get left behind. my friends told me it's fine to push back on them until after thanksgiving. i also haven't updated my resume for current deal experience (i'm a first year and i'm just getting going, so i only have the experience of the past few months since training). am i late in the process? i know when it starts it can be quick, so i don't want to miss the boat. thanks guys
