PE Shops Going Public
KKR and BX went public. And now, Apollo and Carlyle are following their routes. What is the benefit of being a public company? I thought the benefit of Private Equity comes from lack of regulation. Aren't their investments / compensation going to be affected? Any thoughts?

Is it me, or is KKR a dirt cheap stock with a hefty dividend?
Up 3.10% today and another 3% in after hours. Too bad it wasn't real money.
Public shops are no fun.
This is why I think the mid markets/non BB firms can be very desirable. They is a lot to love about working for a privately help firm vs. a public one. That goes for any industry/company too.
