People without return offers this past summer - where are you now?

Just want to get some hope here. I interned at a top BB this summer, and unfortunately didn't get a return offer, and am still trying to find a full-time job. How did the rest of you guys fare - anyone get an offer at another IB? had to change industries? still looking? depressed?

What was your story for why you made the switch from banking to consulting?

Interned with a regional bank over the summer almost everyone in a ~40 person group didn’t get return offers except for a few diversity hires. Absolutely grinded networking and applications and ultimately landed an IB offer at a solid MM shop in my top location. Didn’t necessarily get the group I wanted, but I know I am very fortunate to have something secured. Came from a pretty non-target background too so it was an uphill battle to say the least lol

How'd you make that transition? Gonna be interning in PF this upcoming summer and would love to hear your experience recruiting fulltime

Different story. Finished a year as an IBD analyst at a BB and all juniors got cut. Took a few months off and recently been getting alot of interview invites. Internally thinking against rejoining IB as I've developed some nice programming skills and backed by my STEM background I'm thinking of going into tech now. Really confused tbh
