Is FT 2021 recruiting fucked?

Hey guys, I've returned to work another summer at a boutique IB and been at it back at the office for a month now. They gave me a return offer last summer with comp on par with other BB's and I enjoyed the work so I decided to go with it. I probably can't return to work full time there in 2021 and I wanted to recruit at BB's and MM's anyway. However, it looks like almost every virtual intern at the major firms are getting guaranteed FT offers for 2021. How tf are you supposed to recruit for a FT position when all the interns are getting hired? I go to a target, good GPA, but I'm completely lost for a strategy as most of my networking contacts are uncertain about hiring. I don't want to come off as entitled for a position, but I'm venting cause COVID really threw shit into the fan for 2021 grads. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
