Personal website ?
Hey everybody ,
Was browsing through LinkedIN and I noticed some college kids have a personal website in their profile . Does this add any value in recruiting ? To me it seems a bit pretentious imo but curious to hear what the community has to say.
I like it when candidates do this because it makes it very easy to share their resume/bio/etc... with the others I work with on the recruiting side.
I’ve heard OnlyFans has a very user-friendly interface.
Fuck that, every person I’ve seen with a personal website is also a LinkedIn influencer / growth hacker / Forbes 30 under 30 narcissist who cares more about promoting themselves than spending time to develop skills actually worth promoting.

Most of the people I know who have personal websites work in the tech industry, and use it as a way to showcase projects and other things they've worked on, maybe even a personal blog. Not sure how useful a personal website would be in finance though.
I help with recruiting at my IB. We google search every candidate and when we come across a "personal website" we usually gather around and make fun of it. Very cringy 99% of the time
