PE/VC in India after IB in the US

I will be starting as an IB analyst in a MM bank next July. I also have ties to India and won't have any sponsorship or visa issues if I decided to work there. I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the PE/VC industry in India. I am particularly curious about how my background would be perceived, and if I would be a competitive candidate for recruiting. I am also curious about comp, deal flow, and future prospects of the industry
