I have a phone interview on Friday with a boutique in NY. What will it consist of? The e-mail said it'd be quick, but I'm not sure what to expect. Is there a high probability of it being technical or mostly fit?

Depends entirely on the bank. But first rounds are almost always entirely fit.
Could go either way, I have recently had two where one was all fit and just where I come from, the other one I was basically grilled on technicals for an hour.
Agree with nonpog, it can really go either way with boutiques, more so than with BBs because most of the time, boutiques are looking for someone who is already up-to-speed so they don't have to dedicate as many resources to training them.
Sorry forgot to mention that this is for summer analyst if that matters.
Don't underestimate HR staff. They could just as easily bust out technicals. Happened to me.
I just had a lateral one, with a SF BB. I was told it would be all resume/experience-based, but it ended up being technical. They got me good, those f*ckers!
