Picking an internship

I am currently a sophomore at a semi-target and am aiming to get a SA position in IBD for 2021. However, before recruiting starts this spring with bulge brackets, I want to have my summer 2020 internship secured. Is it worth it to work IBD at a middle-market bank unpaid (which is also 4 hours from my house meaning I have to relocate). I don't currently have any other offers but I have a decent gpa and should be able to find something else, although not as relevant as the middle-market bank. Basically am looking to weigh the pros and cons. Any advice is appreciated.

Yes, take the MM opportunity.

Think of it this way - if you do the internship this year and get a 2021 SA offer, you're not going to wish you hadn't done it as you'll gain useful experience and it will help with interviews.

However, if you don't do this summer and don't get something next year, you'll for sure regret it.
