pitch book question
a friend of mine had a first round with JP
she was asked
"when you have a mistake in a pitch book, what do you do"?
what would your guys answers be?
i know the correct answer said by the interviewer, but its weird because i dont think this falls under any category question type, are we supposed to know this before interviews? i dont think you can study for this
this is defined as a simple fit question. they are looking at your honesty and integrity.
I would correct the mistake, and reprint the pitch books.
That would depends on if it's before or after the pitch...if it's before, then admit it's your fault and correct the mistake as long as time allows. if it's after then apologize like crazy.
for an interview, i would say correct that shit and reprint like its the bible.
nowadays, i just pray during the car ride home that no one catches it.
You could say something that reflects your work ethic, like "work carefully and double check to make sure there were no mistakes to begin with... but if there are... correct." This is an ego kissing business too, so if you do make a mistake, be super humble and apologize.
In real life though, it depends on where in the pitch book the mistake is... you have to evaluate whether pointing it out to apologize for it makes you look like an ass or makes you look responsible for owning up to your mistakes.
