Pitchbook vs Mergr/Low Cost Alternatives
I work for a family office PE firm and have been tasked with looking for a database with comps on the deals we close in the 10 - 50 Mil EV range. I've narrowed it down to Pitchbook and a low cost provider called Mergr. Are you all aware of any other low cost alternatives to Pitchbook? Their products look good but CFO is hesitant to spend more than 10k on a service.
Pitchbook is probably closer to $20k than to $10k /yr
Ok, what low cost alternatives are you aware of?
Mergr is not only cost effective, but also matches with the same quality with pitchbook.. respective of deals and company, Investor and Advisors info.. My suggestion is go with Mergr.
What did you go with in the end??
Bumping this.
Anyone have any experience with Mergr? Specifically for private companies/middle market? The price is right, just wasn't sure of the quality. They offer a 7-day trial, so I can just give it a spin at some point, but I wanted to see what WSO had to say about it.
How'd it go? I am currently tasked with a similar assignment. Is the data on emerging markets any good? Thanks.
2020 bump.
Does anyone have experience with Mergr in the European markets in OP's 10 - 50 Mil EV range?
Would love to get some insights on Mergr as well!
Bump. Curious ab Mergr.
