Please Help - Getting an offer?

Hello,
So here is the deal.

October 2009 - Cold call MD and he replied back with wanting to interview me. I interview and it goes well, although he does not have any openings for another six months.

July 2010- Reconnect and he calls me in for a second round interview which goes really well. He informs me that he will let me know in 40-65 days if I will get an offer.

I have sent thank you notes / emails and have called him to check the status of the hiring process or to see if I am still in consideration for the position. He has still not called or emailed me back. Do I still have any shot of getting an offer??? Thanks so much for your help!

Similar thing happened to me, they probably aren't doing well financially, or are just hesitant to hire. Don't get caught up, always try to move forward and don't look back. I wouldn't get to caught up on it, if you have sent a thank you note, and email thats more than enough. If he wants to follow up with interviews or hiring, he will contact you.
