[PLEASE HELP] Invited to Lateral On-Site Modeling Test. How To Prep for Op. Model/M&A/DCF?
Hey guys, this would be super appreciated. Recently got invited to an on-site modeling test where I was informed there'd be three tests on Excel (Operating Model/DCF/M&A). Anyone have any insight on how I can prep for this? And is the M&A safe to assume an accretion/dilution model? A bit nervous as this is my first experience and want to make sure I'm prepared.
Virtual beers on me for the help. Cheers!
Bump. Curious as well.
I think it's safe to assume M&A will be accretion/dilution. I'd use the guides as a first pass, but the best way to really prep will be to look at complete versions of each type of model (digging into each cell and ensuring you understand all the moving parts). Then, pick a company (or 2, for M&A) and build practice models your self.
For sure. I'll be using all the guide resources I've got as well as Wallstreetprep videos. Given its 90 minutes though I was wondering if there was a standard practice format for the dumbed-down versions. Was hoping there'd be some practice out there that included answers as well so I can check.
Bump.
Yeah just watch all the youtube videos and then do some timed at home tests before hand using public company info. In 90 minutes they will really want to make sure you understand the concepts at hand. Could be accrection/dilution or a merger model to see if you can combine the BS'.
Which youtube videos / takehome tests are you referring to? Would be awesome if you could shoot a pm. Thanks!
