Please Review: Junior Seeking Internship in S&T, Research or consulting

Hi I am a junior interested in S&T, Research or Consulting. I know, broad, but I can see myself in each of them. My top choice is definitely S&T though. It would be great if you guys could review the resume.

Some background info:
1. I go to a semi-target- one of the following: Cal/Michigan/CMU

  1. My sophomore summer I was a business analyst in the market technology division of a BB on the commodities trade floor. We sit right next to the traders (while typical programmers, BO sit a floor below us). We basically identify business needs and come up with solutions on the fly during the day. We monitor hedges, market data, trades and models and identify anomolies throughout the day and are involved with the PNL work. We work with the structuring folks setting up indices and rolling schedules. We also work with the research and quant folks a lot.

    Here are my questions:

  2. Is my resume too wordy and detailed? I have gotten mixed opinions, some people say it was too annoying to read, while others say it was result oriented and like it.

  3. This is somewhat related to the first point. I am in the engineering schools and so the career office people only know how to review resumes using traditional engineering viewpoints. They think it is really hard to skim and hard to understand. Is it true?

  4. What's your first impression reading the resume?

  5. Do you guys think I will get interviews based on my background and experience/gpa(I know low), either in S&T, Research or consulting?

  6. Any other general pointers?

Thanks a lot for everyone's time

Basically, the prior BB experience should get you interviews at most of the bigger places you apply. I'd say it looks very good, you do a good job of saying exactly what you did and quantifying how you added value. S&T you should get interviews most places; research and consulting will be more difficult, as you don't really have any experience that points to that as a direction you've been heading. I would consider removing relevant coursework when applying to the latter two job types, as it is less clearly relevant and might suggest you don't understand what you're applying to.
