Professional Stock Portfolio Tracking Programs? Thanks!
Who said bankers can't be stock-pickers?
Looking for a professional program that can track investments to various indexes across different time periods and ouput them to excel / some friendly graphical format. The more powerful and functionality, the better. Anyone have any suggestions, really appreciate it, thanks!
Portfolio tracking software / website for multi-asset non-US personal investments (Originally Posted: 12/13/2013)
Hi,
I don't live in the US, and want a OS x compatible portfolio tracking software or website for stocks on exchanges other than the NYSE/Nasdaq. Additionally, my portfolio will include cash investments, stock, stock options (from my job), private sector (angel investing), government and company bonds and offshore investments, as well as real estate (later).
Is there anything this comprehensive that can give me a good daily/weekly view of my portfolio of personal investments and that I can easily change (e.g. put a certain monthly amount into cash investment for a few months, and sell so and so shares and reallocate that money into bonds or something).
My plan, now that I have a good job with big upside, is to not get lured in by material possessions and start acting like a big shot, but rather keep reinvesting and compounding to maximise my potential until I'm worth something ...
I could do this with excel but it's a pain to integrate with real time prices etc.
Thanks !
Also interested.
I don't know of anything like this. But interested also
Im looking for similar software, but so far Ive not found anything promising.
Calling on all computer geeks, please create this ASAP.
Same.

Are there any (preferably free) software packages let you track the Sharpe ratio of a portfolio with positions in multiple asset classes? Specifically, I have an account in Interactive Brokers with spot FX, equity, bond futures and commodity futures positions. But, aside from eye-balling it and manually copying stuff into Excel, there does not seem to be a way for me to track either the day-to-day overall portfolio vol/return/Sharpe ratio or the specific contributions of individual positions to those. Wikinvest doesn't seem to work with IB yet.
Does anybody know of a software package that could track this information automatically? Ideally it would be free but if it were good I wouldn't mind paying for it.
is this a high-demanded feature? if so, i can dig up a portfolio tracking app i made in college and buried deep down in my harddrive, make some modifications, and turn it into a fast little start up haha.
I know this isn't ideal, but you could use IB's API to feed data in real time into Excel (although R would be better) and conduct your portfolio analysis off of that. If you don't find one by the winter holidays I can build a basic web-app that will serve as an end-of-day dashboard using user-specified assets.
