I'm John and I'm a senior graduating with a BBA in Finance & Business Management. My career plan is to become a portfolio or hedgefund manager managing my own fund by around 40-45 years of age. But I plan to get mynext summer to learn about the market. After graduation at 22 in Dec 2013 I plan to start my CFA licensing tests and work/internships maybe at the same time. Then I plan to apply to UT - Austin's MBA in Investment Management program around 26/27 years of age. After MBA find a solid job as an analyst, then work through the ranks and all the dirty stuff and help start managing a portfolio. Use all that experience I have gained and hopefully start my own fund and maybe retire around 65 or a little earlier.
These are my plans. I would really appreciate all the opinions, feedback, and constructive criticism.
