position trading

Hi

I'm interested in trading as my future career, and really I have not considered any other options than trading and starting a business.
What I wanted to ask was, is it possible in today's markets to trade the way Paul Tudor Jones trades as can be seen in his video "Trader"? Is what he does in that video a position trading?
I mean with all the automation and high frequency trading, is Paul Tudor Jones' style in the video and position trading at large still viable or will be viable in the foreseeable future?

My understanding is that he takes a general macro view and forms positions based on that view.

It is still viable because HFT works on smaller timeframes (nothing over interday) while macro views payout over many months and years. They are completely different ball games.
