Possible to go from Investment Rep to Analyst?
Hi guys. I'm a newbie to the forum, and am interested in your feedback. I started at a prestigious Midwestern investment management firm just under a year ago, and have had great success in my role. I quickly reached performance metrics in generating business to help increase assets under management and financial planning sessions with clients. My company is one that promotes people on a consistent basis, and I would like to transition from my more sales-based role to an analyst role in client ops and/or financial reporting. Just wanted to see if anyone has been in my shoes before and been successful in making the transition? Based off of my ability to hit company metrics in under a year with limited client service background and undergrad degree in Political Science with a nonprofit background, is my quest delusional?
I don't think back office is that horridly competitive
Why do you want to swap from sales if you have a knack for it to something where you're a cog ?
Thanks for the reply! Just looking to expand skills and potentially earn a little bit more.
