Post flu fatigue
Caught the flu and took rest for three days in bed. Showed up to work on day 5 (I've recovered from the symptoms for the most part) but was very fatigued and had to take the day off. Wasn't able to think clearly.
Searching online, apparently post flu fatigue can last anywhere from a few months to even a year. That is ridiculous and I don't buy that.
Was wondering if anyone else was down with the flu and how did they manage that. Also, does it really take that long to become functional?
PS: I have a good immune system in general and I'm not used to being sick
It is going to be different for everyone. I imagine that you are probably already sleep deprived as an analyst. I would try and push to catchup on some sleep and if you are working out, take a deload week. These should allow you to rebuild your energy up and get back to a normal cycle faster.
Looks like a vaccine side effect.
Get tested for COVID antibodies. Can't be sure that what you had wasn't COVID.
Will be getting a COVID test in an hour. Waiting for my blood test results too.
I'm just not used to being sick so this was such a shocker to me.
.
The older you get, the longer it will take to recover. For most people, the flu sticks around for 5-7 days.
