Post Follow up Follow up
During an interview with a fund of funds manager, the topic switched to a deal on the managers desk. We spoke briefly about a few of the details before we moved on.
About a week after my thank you letter, I was struggling with a way to stay on the radar when I remembered the deal. Going by what I could infer from the few details I learned, after a day's research I emailed him my thoughts on why I thought it was not such a good investment.
He thanked me for the follow up, agreed with all of my bullets, and said he would keep me posted on the search process.
2 weeks later, my question is what now? I don't want to sit on my hands. Is there harm in asking if he would allow me to evaluate another proposal he is considering, to spotlight my work in more detail? Does this smell of desperation?
Thanks in advance for the input.
Two weeks is not desperate.
