Post MBA Coverage IB to RX

Hey fellow monkeys,

I am current 2nd year MBA who has summered at a BB coverage group and who has signed a return offer. However, I have recently gotten some decent exposure to the RX side of things, and I have to admit I really like it.

I was wondering if any of you have anecdotes of post MBA associates switching from coverage into RX? Or has the ship sailed for me as I signed the return offer?

Would love some comments and advice in terms of how to make a switch and would love to hear more about ppls opinions on + and - between coverage IB and RX (on post MBA lvl)

Thanks in advance!

I think it would be a good time to reach out to your school alumni?

Not sure what school you go to but almost every school within the Top 25 has a handful of bankers (maybe some in Rx?). LinkedIn is a great place to start or maybe your IB/finance club?

From my experience, those who ended up in Rx usually had pre-MBA finance experience (some type) and interestingly enough - a lot of former military guys/gals.
