Post-MBA Role at Deloitte in M&A Consulting

Hey guys-- I took an offer to join Deloitte this summer coming out of a target b-school and the contact that I have at the firm indicated that it looks like they are going to staff me within their M&A consulting service line.

My question is-- can anyone provide info specifically about the specific Deloitte M&A line in terms of:

1) typical project work,
2) project length, and
3) work/life balanced compared to other areas of the firm?

I'm trying to get an idea of how this area might differ to the regular management strategy lines within the firm. I'm assuming that these projects will be shorter and have higher burn rates?

Any info is greatly appreciated...
