Posting
Its getting annoying that forum responses appear earlier in the thread than they were written. For example the Cheap Watch thread has later posts higher than the posts that they refer to. Can you do anything about it?

i will look into that...my guess is the screwwed up order might be a result of people coming back and editing their posts...
what if I were to disable editing your own posts?
test on the editing issue
I wouldn't disable editing of posts. I like that feature and the ability to correct noticed grammar, spelling, or factual mistakes later on. Nothing worse than having those permanent.
i cant figure out why the Watch thread got messed up in terms of post order. did you notice this in any other threads?
Thanks, Patrick
Somewhat off-topic but it seems appropriate for me to include it here.
Unless I am missing something, could you implement a feature that would alert someone via either message and/or email of a response to their comments in threads.
I currently use the "Recent Posts" feature to check on threads I've posted on which is fine, but I'd like to know when someone has directly replied to a comment of mine.
Thanks.
EE, great suggestion. There are RSS feeds under the different forum types, but no RSS feed for specific threads. I wonder if that could be set up. If you could just subscribe to your own thread that would be an easy way to receive updates...I will check with my web developer.
checking quotes... Quotes working correctly right now... (earlier quotes may not appear correctly though)
WSO, from everything I've seen tonight, that was the only thread that got messed up.
Thank you.
The mis-ordered posting issue was occuring about a week ago as well on a couple select threads, the names of which escape me.
