Potential Year-End Bonus Clawback
Hi all,
I started as a first-year associate in equity research at a BB in June 2017. I received a 2017 year-end bonus (hit my bank account in Jan/Feb 2018) of $15k and was told that it was not 6-months prorated, but was for the full year (even though I started mid-year). Which would mean that the $15k applied from June 2017 to June 2018.
So, I am expecting my 2018 year end bonus to be similar in that it will apply for June 2018 to June 2019. However- I am planning on quitting in the spring/summer and want to know that if I quit before June 2019, should I expect my employer to "clawback" my bonus (since it will have already hit my bank account)?
Any ideas would be appreciated!
