Private Banking business analyst
Hi guys,
I have an interview with JPM's private banking division in Geneva. The job specs are the following:
The Role
Business & Product Development Analysts are an integral part of the team and are responsible for executing key deliverables within the strategic business agenda of Wealth Management. During their tenure, Analysts will rotate through various groups within the Business & Product Development Team, providing them with a broadened exposure to various facets of wealth management. Rotations are available across the following functional areas:
* Product development - Delivering the accessibility of International funds, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Alternatives, Derivatives, Discretionary offerings, credit and banking products to our client base.
* Client and Advisor Experience - Enhancing touch points with clients and our advisor base.
* Business Analytics & Performance - Providing performance reporting for clients and business reporting for senior management
* Change Management - Defining strategic shifts in our business model and driving the execution of change management implementations.
* New Market & Client Segment Expansion - Expanding the Wealth Management footprint starting with business case development to regulatory filing and through execution.
* Regulatory Projects - Identifying impacts of new regulations and adapting our business and operating models to the constantly evolving regulation.
* To help analysts grow and develop, we offer one-on-one mentoring, team trainings, senior-level lunch and learns, networking opportunities, and peer analyst sessions to facilitate sharing of best practices with other regional programmes.
However I am confused about the nature of the role because from previous posts I have read, JPM has 2 arms for its Private Bank, integrated teams and investment solutions. So where does this role stand?, what are its career prospects? Will I need to be reassessed at the end of my analyst program if I am to become associate?
Any advice is welcome
