Private Equity in The Cayman Islands

With the way the United States is looking right now, it’s not entirely unlikely for me to want to move away to some island such as Grand Cayman. It’s greatly isolated and one can benefit from its tax laws (essentially no income tax, property tax, etc...) making it very appealing. I’m wondering if anyone knows of any private equity funds or hedge funds that have offices located here. I know this is very unlikely however, it is entertaining to think about moving to a tropical island where I can work following a few years in NYC investment banking.

There aren't significant investment teams in those islands. Primarily because deal teams want to be close to their deals, or at least close to an airport. There could be some back office and tax advising there, but that doesn't sound like what you want. Perhaps some tourism CRE in the carribean, but traditional PE will be hard to find.

If WFH is a permanent thing, thats not a bad idea. The hassle of flying out of there to board meetings or strategy sessions 20 times a year would be the only thing holding me back.
