Private Equity to Private Credit? (or Vice-Versa)

Currently deciding whether I want to pursue private equity or private credit after my analyst stint. Anyone have to make a similar decision and can provide advice? Think private credit is better suited to my current skill set and the "lighter hours" are attractive, but also want to give private equity a shot. Is (1) switching over from one to the other possible and (2) is it easier to from PE ---> PC or PC ---> PE?
