Private Equity vs. Trading internship (undergrad)

Hey everyone,

Let me give a quick background of myself: I am Sophomore at a non-target majoring in engineering.

I am trying to decide if PE or trading will give me better opportunities for the following summer/post-college.

I have some offers on the table in trading (think Akuna, Optiver etc.) and LMM PE ($1 billion PE, but in general my understanding is in PE internships you don't learn as much because your not given as much opportunity or trust to do more intensive modeling work etc. But in prop. trading you are very hands on from the start and get very good experience.

Basically, I want to be able to leverage this internship to my best potential for the following summer/post-college, or stay at the firm if it's real awesome ;)
