CFA versus MBA.

As someone who made all the important mistakes you can make in university for getting into Finance I figured I would ask.

Are my only two real options at this point

1). starting my CFA and networking ?

2) Working for a few years and then getting my MBA ? I don't see how helpful this is, considering I don't have much real finance experience, but people always tell me its a great re branding tool.

Regardless, I was curious what other paths there are if any, and would love to hear some stories and input. Thanks !

Do both.

Get a job, do the CFA while working, then apply for an MBA after a few years.

You aren't going to get into a top MBA program without good work experience. While working, do the CFA program. The combination of strong work experience and the CFA charter will help override your undergrad mistakes and make you a strong post-MBA hire.
